January 2021

Christmas message from Stickney Surgery:-

Merry Christmas and A Happy & Healthy New Year to all our patients

2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone.

Throughout the pandemic restrictions imposed on us have meant we have had to adapt quickly to a very different way of working.

This has put a lot of pressure on our GP’s & our dedicated team of clinical & administrative staff.

We have had to alter the way we consult with patients in order to keep everyone safe.

Whilst GP’s & Nurses are able to manage many problems over the telephone, they have continued to see patients face to face when clinically necessary either in surgery or by home visit. We have also put procedures in place to enable self-isolating staff to work from home.

We have also continued to provide chronic disease reviews, medication reviews, nursing home reviews, treatment room procedures, childhood immunisations, blood tests & organised a very successful flu vaccination campaign. As well as this, the reception, dispensary & admin teams have been working hard to deal with all of the other numerous tasks involved in running a surgery.

We wish to say a big thank you to our patients who have been very understanding & supportive during this difficult year.

We will continue to provide the best service that we possibly can during these unprecedented times.

COVID-19 VACCINATIONS

Stickney Surgery will be starting to rollout the COVID-19 vaccination to our patients in early January at Franklin Hall, Spilsby. We are not involved in the delivery of these vaccines and are relying on NHS England telling us when they will be delivered. As soon as we know we will start inviting our priority groups by letter in the first instance.

Please be patient and do not contact the surgery as we will be in touch as soon as we receive the vaccine.

We wish you a safe and Happy Christmas and hope 2021 will be a better year for all of us, please take care.

The Carol Singing round the village Christmas Tree was a lovely festive event with nearly 40 people taking part. Following the singing mulled wine and hot chocolate was served. Let’s hope we can return to our usual celebrations next year, with a band and barbecue to follow the carol service.
